Krishi Vigyan Kendra, commonly referred to as KVK, is an institution at the district level that focuses on delivering the latest agricultural technologies to end users, aiming to close the gap between production and productivity. It operates in partnership with various allied departments and agencies.

The ICAR-KVK Ri-Bhoi was founded on August 3, 2002, and operates under the administrative oversight of the ICAR Research Complex for the North Eastern Hill Region located in Umiam, Meghalaya. Since its establishment, this KVK has been committed to improving the socio-economic status of the district's farming community by implementing scientific interventions in agriculture and related fields.
